We are looking forward to introducing a radiofrequency machine to our clinic this spring for skin tightening, fat and cellulite reduction.

Dr Johnson is currently assessing machines such as the Accent, Thermage, Elos ReFirme, Thermaclinic, Refirme, Ultra Shape, Thermalipo, Velashape  and Aluma. Radiofrequency energy can be used to for several uses depending how deep it penetrates the skin.

It can be used to penetrate the fat cells under the skin where it heats the cells  and increasing the circulation to the tissues.  This method is used to contour  the body, reducing  fat and cellulite.

Radiofrequency energy can also be used to heat the skin and deeper dermis to cause skin tightening and improve the underlying tissue structure for facial rejuvenation.
