At Middlewich Cosmetic Treatments we treat such veins using 2 methods:
Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapty has been used for decades and has advanced over the years. The technique is used primarily for leg thread veins.
The veins are injected with a solution known as a sclerosant, which damages the vein wall, the body then slowly absorbs the damaged tissues making the vein less obvious or unnoticeable to the eye.
The treatment is surprisingly pain free for some individuals, others feel minimal discomfort. This is probably due to the fact the needles used which are very small.
Veins usually need more than one injection to achieve the affect you desire this often depends on the size of the vein.
We recommended treatments are spaced out at least every 4 weeks when treating the same area.
The number of treatments needed is determined by:
After leg treatment we recommend:
Thread Veins are caused by many factors including:
Apiderme
The Apiderme is a precision correction system which uses micro-electrocautery.
It can be used for treating tiny thread veins, spider naevi, telangiectasia, cherry haemangiomas, cambell de morgan spots as well as skin tags and milia.
When treating thread veins we use the Apiderme for most facial veins and for the tiny leg veins that can not be treated with sclerotherapy.
There are no major side effects, no bruising, allergies, or sensitivities. The treated skin may be a little red after treatments but this soon settles down.
